Grippy Posted June 17, 2024 Posted June 17, 2024 Hello Friends I live in Mollymook NSW I have very bad eyes, and shaky arms I need someone to set a new cartridge, and check VTA etc, someone knowing what they are doing, the Origin arm needs the querying device, which I did not have!! but did find it!! If you live, in Wollongong, Nowra, Ulladulla, Batemans Bay or close!! I will pay, or if you want a holiday, I own a nice unit, for a holiday for 3 Days, free to set it up!! Many Thanks David Spry

yerfdoggy Posted September 24, 2024 Posted September 24, 2024 Hello David. I'm sorry this reply is out of date, but did you ever get someone to set up your turntable for you? I've not ever spent much time on StereoNet up until now, but recently have discovered that it's a good community. I am pretty good at cartridge and turntable setup. I don't have Origin Live specific tools, but I do have the main recommended test records, various tracking force gauges, alignment protractors for various alignments (e.g. Lofgren etc) and an understanding of how to use them, and a CRO (Cathode Ray Oscilloscope) for setting azimuth plus a collection of other tools including a stereoscopic AmScope microscope for examining stylus condition and alignment which is quite important before trying to set up a cartridge. The idea of a friendly visit in exchange for a place to sleep for a couple of nights seems pretty good to me. I'm in N.E. Victoria, so southern NSW is not impossible. Let me know what you think 3
