Hey, Just out of curiosity,  has  anyone tried Argentium silver or similar for wiring /cable purposes?

Argentium is 94% silver + 5% copper + 1% Germanium

Sterling is around 92% silver.

With pure silver cost is high, Sterling & Argentium seems like a cheaper option.

Where can you buy Argentium cables?

From what I can tell Argentium is a patented and trademarked alloy. My guess is that will make it more expensive than pure silver. Also it seems to be a worse conductor

Know of folk that have liked Sterling, haven't used it myself.

First I have heard of Argentium.

Edit: I think results will depend a bit on what other materials are mixed with the silver, I have found even 99.9% silver from different sources can sound noticeably different from one to another. Also the annealing and drawing process.

I don't think I would make cables out of silver anymore. Just too fragile. I would prob. use it as internal wiring if I could be bothered.
I find it hard to trust the quality of silver anymore. I used to buy Australian Silver which was really good. Really soft and tarnished quick. Then I bought  Silver from China and it was hard and took longer to tarnish.
