Duntech PCL 25 or Trevor Lees TLA-150 speakers with a Yamaha CR 2020 amp?

Any input would be much appreciated.

 

Would Duntech PCL 25 speakers matck Ok with a Yamaha CR 2020 amp?

 

Or will the Duntech PCL 25 go down to low and kill my amp? if so, maybe adding a power amp could work?

 

Or would a pair of Trevor Lees TLA-150 speakers be a better match?

I think you should go the Duntechs - I really can’t see these “killing” you Yamaha - they only drop to 3.5ihms and the yam is rated to 4 ohms - they might actually be nice match at reasonable volumes (you might want to run a sub)

 

but longer term you may want to invest in a more powerful amp to get the best out of these - the ME integrated on sale at the moment somewhere might be a nice match - (I run a 750ME with my Duntechs) -

In my opinion, that question is back to front

I reckon first find the speaker you want and then an amp to drive it properly - not the other way round

Grab this with the Duntechs and you will be very happy - I’d still look at running a sub with them depending upon your room size etc

@sir sanders zingmoreI already have the CR2020 and looking at changing out the old 5 way speakers I'm currently using.

 

I saw the Duntechs come up for sale after I was seriously considering a pair of Trevor lees which are more my budget.
