Yes, it's spkr cable; from this pic: ... it seems to be a similar construction to Naim spkr cable (2 stranded wires with a separator between them). So they will be high inductance and low capacitance. 1
GaryT Posted October 2, 2024 Posted October 2, 2024 I use 8m RCA cables between phono stage (front of room) and amp at the back of the room, it's absolutely fine to do after the phono stage, but definitely not before it. I did go through a couple of different cables before settling on using Belden 4694R, and separating them a bit from the other cables in that bundle which could cause some interference to an analogue signal (couple of shielded cat6a's carrying network and some IR emitter/receiver signals, hybrid optical HDMI and speaker wires). If you plug the specs of the cable into a roll off filter calculator it isn't making a difference anywhere near the audio range, and in terms of straight up losses it's barely measurable due to the low current moving. 1
