mrbuzzardstubble Posted October 30, 2024 Posted October 30, 2024 Adieu Ben Hunt. He's been granted an immediate release from the Dragons. He was on a million $ a year so that will give Flannagan a lot of money to lure another player or two.

It always seemed like his heart wasn't in it and a million bucks............no way!
mrbuzzardstubble Posted November 7, 2024 Posted November 7, 2024 (edited) Clint Gutherson exits the Eels and it looks like the Dragons have snagged him. Maybe I'll eventually eat my words but why do the Saints buy players whose best years are behind them? He'll probably play fullback which could mean Sloan goes to wing and Ravalawa could be released. P.S Gutherson's on $900,000 per annum so they wont be saving much on Hunt's departure. Edit. Confirmed. He's just signed a 3 year deal. Edited November 8, 2024 by mrbuzzardstubble
mrbuzzardstubble Posted November 18, 2024 Posted November 18, 2024 Saints have apparently poached this guy from Union. He's supposedly going to sign a 2 year deal when he returns to Australia. He looks impressive. Big and fast.

mrbuzzardstubble Posted March 27 Posted March 27 Well, we can see where the Dragons are going this year i.e nowhere (look out for a cricket score this week against the Storm), but are we witnessing the end of the Panthers reign? It's only early, but they don't seem to be scaring the other teams this season. As I type this the Rabbits have just scored 2 tries in about 5 minutes.
mrbuzzardstubble Posted March 29 Posted March 29 Glad for my prediction to be wrong. Dragons pull off an upset against the Storm. Probably going to win the comp now.

I wouldn't have even bet $1 on a Dragons' victory. I think this is the most open comp for many years and it seems to me that, on a given day, any team can beat any other team

Cheers, Keith
