Paul1-100 Posted February 8 Posted February 8 Hi all, I have an old Yamaha a1020 that I use to drive a set of dali concept 8 and b&w 560 speakers. I play mostly vinyl via my rega p3 24, out board psu neo mk2, denon dl110 or my thorens td160 same cart, so I like the mc mm inputs of the yammy with loading selections, I've found lately since I've acquired to dalis that if I go quite loud it trips into protection mode. Now I have a chance to buy a nad c272 power amp locally for 500 aussie dollar. The seller had 3 nos in the box for sale, will this amp be a better match for the dalis or would I be better off perhaps getting the Yamaha overhauled. Serviced. I know nad make good quality components but the Yamaha had served me well for the past 15 years. What would you do?
