Mendes Posted February 20 Posted February 20 Noice, thanks for thinking of me Dave. I suspect that would cost a lot of Don Julio 1942 bottles

Grizzly Posted February 20 Posted February 20 Whiskey filled knobs is hopefully not a metaphor for the purchaser. Calls to mind a certain Antarean Parakeets' Gland, for those of us who enjoy low brow literature 1
ENIGMA Posted February 20 Posted February 20 Ha Ha, I just visited the website, i thought very nice but what is this nonsense until i spotted a fine RTR in the background of one of the shots and as far as i'm concerned i now give them full cred! The selling an experience, to engage and enjoy something personal which i like the idea of in todays age. Whisky and a chair to sit in - very interesting and you know what, i could do with some of that right now. And I'm not simply referring to a bit of firewater either, i could do with a break. I like this idea. I'm going to get the whisky out tonight and enjoy some analogue. 2

doogie44 Posted February 26 Posted February 26 There is nothing stopping Marc @retrothermionic from matching this effort at a vastly reduced cost! I am certain he could: 1. Improve on the volumetric knob concept considerably 2. Incorporate a beautiful top quality-parts EL-34 integrated amplifier and speakers into 2 whole CASKS of single malt whisky with sensual taps (well away from the glowing babies)--and the lucky purchaser overall would be streets ahead financially. 3. Offer an alternative abundance of Aussie and/or foreign tipples by arrangement 4. Organise alternative valve topologies for the obsessed 5. Help our international credit rating in these troubled times This would avoid frequent bothersome short trips to and from the amplifier while listening, and help ensure that no long phone calls to Hungary ensue following depletion of the necessary accoutrements. 1
