adi Posted March 16 Posted March 16 Hi . I have a Marantz Pm-10 amp and it says on rear Speakers A 4- 16 Ohms B 4- 16 ohms And A+B (which can be used to Bi- Wire 1 set of speakers or 2 sets of speakers being A+B) What I am asking is can I just Bi-Wire one set of speakers eg. Tweets and mids to Speaker A and bass units to speaker B. I have 2 sets of floor mount speaker being Bowers And Wilkins 702 s3 a@ 8 Ohms and also Jamo Concerts totally re-capped and sound fantastic which are 4 Ohms. If I bi-wire Bowers the speakers are 8 ohms however if I bi-wire Jamos these are 4 ohms ! And amp says A+B 8-16 Ohms. Has anybody got any experience regarding this or any thoughts please. Many thanks for any help.
billstevenson Posted March 17 Posted March 17 I just took another look at the owners manual for the PM10 and it seems clear that the total nomjnal load, no matter if it is one set of speakers bi-wired or two sets of speakers, should be between 4 and 16 ohms. 1
