Great album- Aussie Britpop with funky techno beats and pulsing synths! It’s 1990 again...?

Ben Salter ‎– Summer Of The Loud Birds - album from last year.

I visited Mona museum over the weekend and Ben Salter is there almost every day Mona is open.  He is working on his new album @ Mona and playing some songs live very day while anyone can watch him do his stuff sipping on a few beers or wines.    watching him play with his synth/PC in getting a groove going was very cool.   below is song he did live.

Absolutely loving this by a young Melbourne composer.  Beautiful piano - poised, sober, calming.  This is her latest - I am also working through her back catalogue

Bored Shorts - Way Off - debut album on Spunk records from the WA, now Sydney band.  they were first support for Shining Bird a couple of weeks back, but none of us saw them play live - took a punt at the merch stand .  Nothing like what I was expecting - sort of slacker rock with male and female singers with a hint of Go-Betweens.   good sound quality as well.

get out there and support some Aussie bands and new music.

Anyone who likes Died Pretty will absolutely love Ron S Peno's last 2 solo albums which are still available on vinyl. Both are a little quieter than Died Pretty but has plenty of emotion!!

PENO, RON S. & THE SUPERSTITIONS  -  ANYWHERE AND EVERYTHING IS BRIGHT
