I am sure it does, but spread over 2 lp's.  no thanks.

This is mono from the mono box.  Do you have that Max?

No I only have the MoFi 45, but I really don't mind flipping sides and will almost always choose 45 rpm over 33 rpm.

Sure the original mono sounds better?

You need to buy the mono box before they are all gone.

Does the mono sound better? - no idea, but it would sound different due to the mono mix.

It's a Bob kind of day

protest songs written by Woody Guthrie and performed by some of the 60's most prominent folkies Pete Seeger Odetta Arlo Guthrie Tom Paxton Judy Collins Rambling Jack Elliott

and a rare outing for Dylan with The Band between the motor bike crash and the 1974 tour

Some of my favourite pictures of Bob

on stage with The Band in the late 60' s

a couple of years away from the madness of the 66 world tour

in full country cool clothes and looking like a model for hipsters

and singing protest songs

sort of one great writer honouring another great writer

More folkie music from the 60's

cant remember how I got to hear of this in the early 70's

probably from reading Rolling Stone

wrote a lot of great songs and I recently bought one of those cheap but wonderful cd collections of 6 or so records

Bob was playing in the same places as Tom Paxton in the early 60's and

covered this song on Another Self Portrait

Annie's Going To Sing Her Song

Every time this thread pops up again I immediately think the worst.... but it's not 2016 any longer.

Anyhow, here's my favourite Bob Dylan photo.

one of his great songs

no guessing needed for where the photo comes from

I'm not the biggest Bob fan but always admired him and do enjoy listening to him every now and then.

We saw him in Perth in 2011 it was probably the worst performance ive ever seen. Has turned me off him for good. Such a shame. Was really looking forward to seeing him in the flesh. He was a gazillion years old by then I suppose.

Sorry :(

Cheers Dave.

Me and the wife saw him 33yrs ago and he was crap then, pissed and incoherent. Never thought about seeing him live since. I like his early stuff though.

Dylan's best album?     Highway 61 revisited

Great album, as are all his 60's albums. Even the debut is a ripper. But his best? Many will agree, but the second album after Highway 61 is his best IMO. Closely followed by the album that preceded it. Which is the album after the one you are playing. :P

Yea B on B is superb - I think I prefer 61.   So many good albums, very hard to choose just one.

It was more a question than a statement - important we discuss the best Dylan albums:thumb:

Of course. For years, Blonde on Blonde was my favourite, followed by Highway 61.

But over the last decade JWH has entrenched itself as my go to album when I want to play Dylan. :)
