I've had these speakers since 2005.  OK, technically they've been at a mates place since then but I've swapped him a pair of Accusound floorstanders to get these back again so I could have some fun playing with the crossovers.  Unfortunately for me the crossovers are glued directly to the interior of the box and I can't see any way of getting them out for inspection while being gentle enough not to damage them, so no fun to be had there.

I was wondering if anyone had any info on them, they look to be NS-1000 look a-likes in that they have a nice bling factor, they're made in Japan and they are not 'inter-changable left/right' and that's about all I know.

The last time I actually heard them was about 3 years ago so I don't have much of an opinion on how good they sound, I'm warming them up at the moment so we'll see what we can hear.

Well they sound all right, but from what I've heard of the quality of the NS-1000m I suspect they're not in the same league.  They are certainly a step down from my S2Rs, 3 steps down if you want to talk about the bass, but they work fine.  If anything they sound a bit nostalgic, they remind me of what the music I used to listen to sounded way (yeah, right, "way", it wasn't that long ago but it was back before I knew anything about this hobby of ours) back in the 90's.  I think I'll put the Lenehans back onto duty this evening.
