Guest Posted July 24, 2014 Posted July 24, 2014 Blueys have a nice temperament. He's fetch obsessed but calms down in the evenings. :lol:Very cuddly dog. Smithfield X stumpy tail blue X something else. Taller, longer and bigger ears than most blueys. A few more.
Guest Posted July 25, 2014 Posted July 25, 2014 (edited) I can't reacll how this came about... Maybe I saw a cartoon drawing of it, or someone told me, not sure... But the gist of it is, whenever a dog barks, they're saying "Hey you!" Once I started thinking about it, it makes sense 99% of the time  Barking through the fence at someone walking past. Barking when wanting to go walkies. Barking at another dog while playing. Barking out the window of a car or on the back of a ute. Etc. Hey you! Edited July 25, 2014 by Dirty_vinylpusher
blybo Posted July 31, 2014 Posted July 31, 2014 And a lot more robust than they look. They, whippets and greyhounds are my faves - pure graceful function, quiet, easy to keep, comfort loving, trustworthy unless blooded (when they can be REAL problem). But Louie the chocolate labrador will do us for the time being. He's a nice boy, but kinda dumb. Humans and Labradors, the only animals that will eat themselves to death... Gee Emm Posted July 31, 2014 Posted July 31, 2014 Love a winter fire Love a sunny day Maxie is 14 in this photo. She's just about worn out now. Buckley looks innocent enough, but... This is what he can do in 30 minutes of boredom It took me 30 minutes to clean up the mess. Bad dog! 2
Guest Posted July 31, 2014 Posted July 31, 2014 Buckley looks innocent  Dunno about that... Looks pretty shifty in that pic.
Guest Posted July 31, 2014 Posted July 31, 2014 (edited) He's just sizing you up :lol:Thst's exactly what it looks like. Good call. Speaking of size, what does he weigh in at? Looks pretty solid. Edited July 31, 2014 by Dirty_vinylpusher
evil c Posted July 31, 2014 Posted July 31, 2014 He's not very tall, currently ~23kg Makes a wombat look trim - lotta muscle! You wouldn't want to trip over him in the dark - break a toe! 1
Guest Posted July 31, 2014 Posted July 31, 2014 He's not very tall, currently ~23kg Yeh he looks really stocky in the pic where he's sitting but not so much when laying down I suppose. Used to see a huge, and I mean HUGE staffy at the dog beach in Perth when we lived there. This thing was like a coffee table. Head on him like a bull. Like a Mastiff with short legs. Woulda been around 40-45 kg I reckon Gentle giant, of course and would lick you to death.

She had to bury a biscuit the other day, she couldn't fit it in after leftovers from sunday morning brekky etc. The maggies swooped straight on the half covered treat with slobbering beaks as she trotted around the corner quite chuffed at her own cleverness and the thought of a little tidbit from the garden the next time she thought of it....
evil c Posted July 31, 2014 Posted July 31, 2014 Sounds more like a Pitbull or Bulldog cross although the American Staffy's can be larger size wise! Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk
Guest Posted July 31, 2014 Posted July 31, 2014 Definitely not American, was very short legged. Possibly crossed with something though. Looked very Staffy-ish however
Guest Peter the Greek Posted July 31, 2014 Posted July 31, 2014 ^my wife showed me that on facebook the other day, really touching
Full Range Posted August 2, 2014 Posted August 2, 2014 (edited) Today my daughter and her husband just welcomed there new best friend in the family He visited us before going home to my eye - his is a well balanced dog with good muscle tone and stance He is a cross - You may have guess to see who is right Edit - He is so so cute with a short silky smooth coat and his name is Wilson Edited August 2, 2014 by Full Range 5
Guest Posted August 2, 2014 Posted August 2, 2014 He is a cross - You may have guess to see who is right That's a tough one. The head and face shape looks like Rottie, but the markings and big ears could be anything. Although he has the brown socks of a Rottie. Could be cross with some strand of St Bernard. What's that one, Bernard Senner or something?. I have no idea. Probably way off...
