Full Range Posted August 2, 2014 Posted August 2, 2014 That's a tough one. The head and face shape looks like Rottie, but the markings and big ears could be anything. Although he has the brown socks of a Rottie. Could be cross with some strand of St Bernard. What's that one, Bernard Senner or something?. I have no idea. Probably way off... Way off - not one right Think smaller - Try again
Full Range Posted August 2, 2014 Posted August 2, 2014 Smaller? Well... Beagle x Spaniel? Beagle is one half -- great detective work Will post answer in the morning if no one has guessed
Full Range Posted August 2, 2014 Posted August 2, 2014 As promised - the answer of the breed mix parentage of this gorgeous little fellow is Beagle and Labrador 1 1

Full Range Posted August 4, 2014 Posted August 4, 2014 So what does that make him.... Beagrador (B-grader? ) Beagledor Lable Labradeagle  I suppose the best way to say it and rolls off the tongue easily, also has a French twist Labeagle
Guest Posted August 4, 2014 Posted August 4, 2014 Beagledor has a nice ring to it and sounds somewhat posh. Lord Beagledor the third. A friend has a Beagle X Cavalier..... Beaglier... Not sure how to spell it but it sounds like Beagle Ear  LaBeagle is pretty cool though.
awty Posted August 4, 2014 Posted August 4, 2014 Leo also likes to be listening to the system with me He likes King Crimson and Pink Floyd But pretty much everything that's playing Photo taken just a couple of minutes prior to posting Listening to David Gilmour - Live In Gdansk image.jpg Labradoodle?
Full Range Posted August 4, 2014 Posted August 4, 2014 (edited) Labradoodle? For all that have asked Leo is an Irish Terrier - a great dog and our third IT in 30+ years Edited August 4, 2014 by Full Range 2
awty Posted August 5, 2014 Posted August 5, 2014 My mistake, he looked a bit like my pooch in the first shot. Leo is far more hansom than shaggy Ol' Jasper. Why have I got to look at you? 3
steve u Posted August 5, 2014 Posted August 5, 2014 I'll call your shaggy dog and raise you a dramatically hairy offering.
maxspl Posted August 10, 2014 Posted August 10, 2014 Jessie turned up on my driveway ,about 6 months old , abandoned and half starved. 10 yrs old now and the best pooch any one could wish for ....great listening buddy too. 9
Darren69 Posted August 10, 2014 Author Posted August 10, 2014 (edited) What a beautiful little face! He/she picked you Mark. Nice to know it made it to a loving home, not all of the poor little buggers are that lucky. Edited August 10, 2014 by Darren69
Catostylus Posted August 10, 2014 Posted August 10, 2014 Nice to know it made it to a loving home, not all of the poor little buggers are that lucky. ^This. More power to you for doing it. 1
maxspl Posted August 10, 2014 Posted August 10, 2014 She's a lovely dog.....very sociable , loves everyone especially kids. Friends reckon it was her lucky day when she turned up at my place.....but it was my lucky day really. 2
Nada Posted August 10, 2014 Posted August 10, 2014 (edited) Just in case anyone decides to "rescue" an "abandoned and half starved doggie" please be aware most wandering dogs are lost from a loving home and have simply escaped. Please dont assume the dog needs rescuing from a neglectful owner because its got no collar, is starving and looks badly messed up and desperate. Dogs that are spooked eg by a siren, fireworks or storm, can transform into super-dogs that smash through walls and leap 2m fences to escape leaving owners wondering if they were actually stolen. A week running scared and lost will make the best cared for dog look starved and messed up.. Owners can spend the rest of their lives wondering where their family member got to and worrying if they are dead or alive. Lots of heart break there. If you find a wandering dog please take it to your local vet. They will scan for a microchip. Or phone your local council and RSPCA, pop a free advert up on gumtree under lost pets and do a quick internet search. In the unlikely event a cute dog is unclaimed you can adopt it with a clear concious. Edited August 10, 2014 by Nada 3
maxspl Posted August 10, 2014 Posted August 10, 2014 Good advice. In my case I rang the local council and they took her to the pound. Her picture was taken and put up outside on a board for any owner who is looking for a lost dog to check. If unclaimed after 6 days the dog is put down. I rang every day to check and made it clear that I would offer a home if no owners showed up. 3
steve u Posted August 10, 2014 Posted August 10, 2014 Took this shot today at lure coursing, afghan's are considered dogs suited to hairdressers and similar, but they are athletes and have this inbuilt hunting instinct and move like the wind. This dog is suspended in mid-air, with only his flowing locks scraping the ground. 4
Guest Posted August 11, 2014 Posted August 11, 2014 Wish I could get my dogs to do this. Would be handy...
alistairm Posted August 11, 2014 Posted August 11, 2014 I'll play! This one hasn't worked out she's not human yet. (Now 4 years' old.) 4
Guest Posted August 11, 2014 Posted August 11, 2014 The facial expression in the first pic is priceless
