muznuts Posted August 8, 2014 Posted August 8, 2014 any opinions on this brand, in particular their sub's? thanks
EV Cali Posted August 8, 2014 Posted August 8, 2014 Polk used to be made in America and good and now they make reasonable equipment and cheap items so you need to be specific in regard to a model.

EV Cali Posted August 10, 2014 Posted August 10, 2014 Any body have any thoughts on this item .At least if you are local you should be able to audition it.
Flynnyfalcon Posted August 13, 2014 Posted August 13, 2014 I don't have any personal comments to add on their current line up, but back in the day, Polk was all I ran in my cars. Beautifully clean, powerful and dynamic sound. I currently have some Atrium 45's for the rear deck and they are a great speaker. Polk has never been a mainstream brand in Australia, but they still seem to a recommended brand by those in the know.
Sir Triode Posted August 14, 2014 Posted August 14, 2014 Polk was the pet favourite of the late Julian Hirsch (of Stereo Review). They were more a mid-fi brand than High End and were more suited to the amps of Hafler, Adcom and Rockford Fosgate. Brands known for their subs are REL, Velodyne and JL audio.
Guest thathifiguy Posted August 16, 2014 Posted August 16, 2014 What is the subwoofers application? I.e. Stereo or home theatre?
