Please let me know if you would like an audition in advance and I can set it up at home or in the shop in Southport Price: $1,500 Bel Canto CD2 utilising the highly regarded Philips CD-Pro2M transport. Comes with a built in 24/192 DAC internally and volume control so it can be connected directly to power amps. Has BNC, optical and AES digital outputs. Comes with external power brick but can also be powered by the optional LNS1 (below). You would have to pay $3795 for a new CD2. $200 Bel Canto LNS1 - a low noise power supply designed to power one Bel Canto VB component like the CD2/FM1/DAC1.5/Phono3VB/Pre3VB etc - will bundle the VB cable to power the CD2/FM1 with the LNS1. This goes for $595 new. $100 Bel Canto VB REF power cable from VBS1 to CD2. This goes for $500 new. Or buy the entire bundle for $1,600. I'd prefer to sell all the items in a bundle and will provide free shipping via TNT Road Express if you take up the offer. Items were purchased in 2010/2011. jdh500 Posted October 14, 2014 Posted October 14, 2014 (edited) Me too, bullet proof reliable CD player with great sound quality that you can actually hear the difference on either analogue out to a pre amp of digital out to your favourite DAC. You probably won't have much room to upgrade beyond this CD player without spending $$$$$ Happy to take LNS1 and cable or even cable alone if anyone is interested in the CD player with standard PSU only. DoggieHowser Posted October 15, 2014 Author Posted October 15, 2014 It has a 24 bit/192kHz internal DAC (derived from the Bel Canto DAC3 series) and volume control. It can be used directly to power amps. There are also three digital outputs if you want to use it as a transport. I have found that setting these outputs to 24/96 works very well with the DAC3.5VB/VBMkII that I just sold recently.
