michaelw Posted September 8, 2018 Posted September 8, 2018 love movie soundtracks. my preference is for original scores rather than the modern idiom of slapping some songs together. 5
Bass13 Posted September 12, 2018 Posted September 12, 2018 Into the wild , Eddie Vedder ...great album. 3
hlov Posted September 28, 2018 Posted September 28, 2018 La Bamba, I wish I could find the score, Carlos plays a nice version of Sleep walk on it 5
metal beat Posted September 30, 2018 Posted September 30, 2018 Liars – Original Soundtrack To The Film - 1/1. beautifully done and bought at the gig last night.
att23 Posted October 8, 2018 Posted October 8, 2018 One of my all time favourites, now on SACD. Regardless if there’s only slight SQ improvement from an already well recorded/mastered 90s CD, I will just hand over my money. 4
Monk Posted October 10, 2018 Posted October 10, 2018 (edited) I don't know why this one is never in any stores, only ever seems to be The Dark Knight Rises. Ended up getting it on Ebay. Also not sure it has quite the same 'edge' to it that I remember from the movie. Still damn good though and makes me wishI had seen Zimmer when he'd toured a couple of years back. I did hear from a mate it was good. Thinking about playing it again. Also plenty of bass and makes me wish I had a subwoofer in my system... Edited October 12, 2018 by Monk 3

Ian McP Posted October 10, 2018 Posted October 10, 2018 I keep flogging this to anyone who'll listen, simply outstanding sonics, huge dynamic range! Scares the bejeezus out of presenters at hifi shows! The Skin I Live In https://www.amazon.com/Skin-Original-Motion-Picture-Soundtrack/dp/B005TQKFXC 2
Monk Posted October 14, 2018 Posted October 14, 2018 (edited) 2001 A Space Odyssey. Man, that's a pretty trippy sounding album. I guess it was a pretty trippy time. And for some reason, I really feel like playing Disco Volante by Mr Bungle now? Weird. Edited October 14, 2018 by Monk 2

Monk Posted October 24, 2018 Posted October 24, 2018 Mad Max Fury Road. Yeah, okay. I don't mind this. Sounds pretty reasonable on the stereo. Will have to play it louder another day. 3
Monk Posted October 26, 2018 Posted October 26, 2018 It's been a soundtrack kind of night. Now as much as I love the music from the first three, in the mood I'm in, it was not a good choice in hindsight. And while I only really choose the last one for one song, and I don't like the rest of the album as much as that song, it has livened me up a bit. So I think I need something more upbeat and preferably with vocals next I think. Err, and non-soundtrack. 3
t_mike Posted October 31, 2018 Posted October 31, 2018 Something with a little drama while cooking/eating. Working again tonight unfortunately. Nice packaging and pressing from Japan. 2
metal beat Posted November 8, 2018 Posted November 8, 2018 (edited) Batman Forever - 2018 2lp vinyl release of the 1995 soundtrack. I have the original CD of this wonderful album, but it was never released on vinyl except very hard to get promo release. I had to get the vinyl, if only for Michael Hutchence's amazing cover of The Passenger - produced by Tim Simenon. Edited November 8, 2018 by metal beat 2
Monk Posted November 10, 2018 Posted November 10, 2018 One of today's pick ups. Not quite what I was expecting. For some reason due to Daft Punk I was thinking it would be all synthwave or whatever they do. Can't actually remember much of the music from the film. Not bad though hey. 3
