08Boss302 Posted May 27, 2022 Posted May 27, 2022 So about a month I saw this and had to grab it. Not many people's favoured or even respected CF release but it's got some great riffs on it imo. It's pretty hard to find on vinyl as it is but this one is a bit extra special....which is why I had to grab it. Arrived safely from Switzerland this arvo 3 1

Being my all time fav metal band this release was a shock to say the least (still have my 3RRR interview with Tom upon release where he desperately tries to defend it) but although definitely not there finest hour I can appreciate it for what it is and as the Boss man says there's some good riffs on it. Incidentally some of these tracks were re-recorded with a much heavier sound for the Parched With Thirst compilation 1

Incidentally some of these tracks were re-recorded with a much heavier sound for the Parched With Thirst compilation Agreed mate, I recall Tom defending and nowadays absolutely distancing himself from it. The live at Hammersmith VHS has alot of this album on it, which is not the greatest representation of them but worth a laugh at some of the soloing simply due to it putting Vinnie Vincent stupidity to shame (and I am a fan of KISS and Vinnie Vincent Invastion) but it's still makes me laugh to this day when watching it. Tom in his LA Guns tee shirt also, another band I am fan of early stuff, just didnt suit Tom really. The 3RRR interview is with A.T (RIP) yeah? I don't specifically remember the interview, maybe one day at a GTG we can listen to it? I have the Parched with Thirst comp and I reckon it was his last effort in trying to cred the songs on that album haha. ....Its a real shame Tom is not bringing Triptykon here in June, only doing that Tassie show for Dark Mofo and then thats it. 2
Dokken Posted May 27, 2022 Posted May 27, 2022 (edited) Australian Hard Rock/Glam metal done very well. Released in 2020, this wouldn't be out of place if it was released in the 1980's! Catalano - Nightfighter (2020) Edited May 27, 2022 by Dokken 2
