Change of pace. Great album the band Excalibur from the UK. They only released one album in 1990, more a traditional heavy metal sound, nwobhm(ish), but sits well with Dokken, leatherwolf etc too.

Following up with another from the K section.

Kauan, Ice Fleet

Achingly beautiful music, doom, atmospheric, ambient, progressive.

If you haven't listened to them, they played two albums, Pirut and their masterpeice Sorni Nai live in full in Kyiv some years ago, it's here for those interested, very unique and beautiful sounds. If you've never cried to music with lyrics you don't even understand, give that a go.

Seeing as though I mentioned them while playing Excalibur, thought why not play them next...

The last Vastum album Inward to Gethsemane was one of my favourites from 2023 and has been copping an absolute flogging. Luca and Chad from Necrot on 20 Buck Spin but I think Luca has bailed now.

Cannot wait, Celtic Frost gig was awesome, I am expecting this Triumph of Death show to be the same. The live release is killer, if thats to go by we'll be in for a ripper show. Hopefully they throw in some Celtic Frost and or Triptykon too.

Will be great to catch up there.

Yeah I recently gifted my 15yo with my S.O.D. shirt I bought at the same age at the original Metal For Melbourne shop in Flinders St.

Brought a tear to my eye quite honestly...
