Yes brilliant, bought this when first came out having no idea what it would be like when I was 18, who would’ve guess that this band pretty much became one the biggest touring acts in the world and they still play songs from this to people who would have no idea who Savatage is. 3
tubularbells Posted July 24, 2024 Posted July 24, 2024 Finally got my hands on this. 4 slabs of coloured vinyl goodness cut live direct to disk from the mothers of the foundation laying groove... Sleep - Live At Third Man Records Spinning at the appropriate volume! 4
tubularbells Posted July 24, 2024 Posted July 24, 2024 And onto another new one. For many this band has already "jumped the shark" and after going to there last gig here in Melb's looking at the crowd there now drawing I was definitely a lone wolf however given the profound effect they had when I first heard of them in the early 10's I give them a lot of rope and have genuinely enjoyed all there output from the early Magna Carta days through to who they are now. Ghost - Rite Here Rite Now (Original Motion Picture Soundtrack) 2
GaryT Posted July 24, 2024 Posted July 24, 2024 They've always been unashamedly silly and I love that about them. 1 1

tubularbells Posted July 28, 2024 Posted July 28, 2024 Classic German thrash from the 80's. Still got my Destruction shirt from back then also (although these days it fits a bit on the tight side ) Destruction - Eternal Devastation 1 1

I've heard some truly awful Atmos mixes that have less immersion than stereo that just seem to be bandwaggoning without actually putting in the effort to make it something special.

I can only hope, it’s not fully released yet only 2 songs and they sound good, I’m a massive fan of multichannel music and thankfully Apple atmos is improving dramatically.
Dokken Posted August 1, 2024 Posted August 1, 2024 Looking forward to seeing these guys in Melbourne 2

tubularbells Posted August 8, 2024 Posted August 8, 2024 Metal in record label only (Rise Above Records) unless you account for the occultist subject matter this ones a real curiosity as its authentic doo-wop recorded in mono with satanic lyrics, Real odd ball stuff yet somehow it works and when the mood is right as it is now an enjoyable listen. Twin Temple - Satanic Doo-Wop
GaryT Posted August 8, 2024 Posted August 8, 2024 (edited) I've seen that one around and thought that would be up your alley. Edited August 8, 2024 by GaryT 1

tubularbells Posted August 11, 2024 Posted August 11, 2024 In anticipation of this Saturday's night gig I've got this maxed out (seriously the Krell's got nothing left to give) and much to the rest of my families (dis)pleasure this EP brings me much delight and floods me with happy and now sadly distant memories. Planning to catchup with the Boss there also (aka @08Boss302) which will be good as its been a while. Hellhammer - Apocalyptic Raids 1
