Dokken Posted January 16 Posted January 16 (edited) This album definitely needed a remaster. Sounds way better than the original. Nick's drumming sounds awesome. Cradle of Filth - Cruelty and the Beast Remistressed (2019) Edited January 16 by Dokken 1

GaryT Posted February 13 Posted February 13 (edited) And now for something completely different. Wasn't sure whether to put this over on the prog thread but this might be too out there for some of them. Tonight I'm listening to the flawed but in many ways revolutionary debut from Maudlin of the Well, My Fruit Psychobells... A Seed Combustible. Brilliant, otherworldy writing but a deeply flawed recording. This album pushed avant guarde and progressive metal in directions it had never been, possibly flying too close to the sun and trying to do things too far outside the bands skills at the time. Every track is quite different like they were trying to find their sound, but their later albums were the same, so varied and every track unique. But i love it, warts and all, and it started my fascination with experimental music in general. If you've been interested in Maudlin or Kayo Dot and never touched this one due to its reputation for being "unlistenable" please give it a go. What I wouldn't give to hear this rerecorded. awayward Posted February 19 Posted February 19 I’m going to post this here as the bands genre is Progressive Metal, the new album from Dream Theater is certainly on the heavier side and in their top 3 albums imo, the album is Parasomnia, have listen you may just like it! 4
