S.O.D. Double Double Super Like !

I still have my original 1986 green singlet of that album.

Lawnmower Death did a song about Billy Milano called F.A.T. - Facist And Tubby :)

Cheers,

Jason.

Is that your gut or the front of a bus!

You should also check out the album

Blackwater park.

Myeah, don't go much on Cookie Monsters Greatest Hits (awesome production though,on Blackwater Park) so also don't like Deliverance.

Love Pale Communion.

You wouldn't think they were the same band.

Now on a serious note, yes they are totally different albums.

It will grow on you

Yes, have a gut feeling that you might be right about Blackwater Park. Not sure about Deliverance but yes, the best albums gradually grow on you.

Yeah the cookie monster growling does definitely grow on you, I sort of treated it like another instrument at first.

Actually gave Ghost Reveries a spin yesterday, probably my pick over Blackwater Park for newbies, maybe because it was my first album, but must admit until really into Opeth I found BP did drag a bit in the middle on first listens?

If you like the chilled Damnation Daz, I know not a big fan of Porcupine Tree, but Mikael Akerfeldt with Stevie's collaboration Storm Corrosion is defintely worth a look too :thumb:

Time to get Nuclear on the new cart...hopefully this will "burn" it in a bit faster!

Now that's a great album. Nuclear cart...

How does it sound with such a good cart?

Cookie as a musical instrument has worked quite well, listened to Blackwater Park most of the weekend and yes, good stuff and a wonderful production!

Unfortunately nothing's going to save this album from its thin production so as much as I hate to say it using a nail would probably sound the same on this one which is a shame as its a killer album which brings back many fond memories back when it was released.
