tubularbells Posted October 30, 2015 Posted October 30, 2015 From the vault. Ridiculous interview followed by some incredibly bad live renditions of "Cold Lake" era butchering of classic frost tracks....lol Even though I'm probably only one in five worldwide who actually thought CL had some decent tracks (ruined by pisspoor production) this is still a tough listen.... Actually still have this Hammersmith concert on VHS bought back in the day. 1
tubularbells Posted October 30, 2015 Posted October 30, 2015 .....BTW if anyone still owns a copy of Cold Lake on vinyl they want to sell let me know as mine mysteriously disappeared one day (probably me throwing it after staring at that back cover for too long ) 1

And now there are few left, and even less recently. How sad it was with the unbuttoned jeans lol No where close to this classic pic. 1

shaky Posted October 31, 2015 Posted October 31, 2015 Metallica- black album. Be it commercial metal/rock/ whatever but something I haven't listened to much over the years due to a best mate at who's funeral in 92 when Nothing Else Matters was played. So always leaves me a little emotional still.

blackangus Posted October 31, 2015 Posted October 31, 2015 More F'ing Champs, I revisit them in a big way every few months.
tubularbells Posted October 31, 2015 Posted October 31, 2015 Time to lighten things up with some good old fashioned German beer fuelled thrash! 2

Actually not so bad nowadays. But always takes my mind back. Getting into Holier than thou. Foot tappingly good metal.
tubularbells Posted October 31, 2015 Posted October 31, 2015 Time for some Carcass ....! Hmmm breakfast music indeed...ha, nice. 1
NeilNZ Posted October 31, 2015 Posted October 31, 2015 They were great when they played earlier in the year with Napalm Death. Bill Steer had hurt his hand so it was actually a shortened set, so they played only old classics. I couldn't have asked for anything more. Symphonies is still my favourite of theirs. 2
ekymetal Posted November 1, 2015 Posted November 1, 2015 Hmmm breakfast music indeed...ha, nice. Yes indeed going to have some regurgitated giblets......... 3

likwidsh0k Posted November 2, 2015 Posted November 2, 2015 Crack the Skye was a low point for mastodon for me... But their others have been awesome! Haven't heard the latest one yet Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk Been a bit of a Mastodon (and Opeth) binge lately, and still love Crack the Skye, sounds a bit like an inevitable album for them to do? Tough call between that and Leviathin for me, not a big fan of Blood Mountain, but love The Hunter. I haven't heard the latest one yet either.
likwidsh0k Posted November 2, 2015 Posted November 2, 2015 Yes indeed going to have some regurgitated giblets......... Oh that's a song :D 1
