Does anybody have the 20th anniversery edition? What's it like?

In my top ten:

Probably shouldn't put that in, but then I'd have to start a Grunge - currently spinning...

Overkill is a new band to me, somehow I've never heard of them.

Was new to me as well up until about a month ago. Went and saw them at the Metro, damn good night out!!

Currently spinning..

Trivium - "The Crusade"

Soulfly - "Omen"

I have Relix V by Overkill where they apparently went more rock and roll then before. Not a bad album imo

loving this at the moment, about to get it on vinyl but mp3 for now. Buried Alive would have to be my favourite song.

The two are my favourite albums by Subway To Sally, and they have recently been getting a lot of repeats after I found them hidden in my disorganised collection.

Judas Priest - Sad Wings of Destiny (180grm coloured vinyl)

hell yeah! Victim of Changes would stand as my favourite JP track and sounds pretty damn nice right now. Lots of meat to those guitars. Unfortunately the record is slightly warped, not unplayable though, needle moves up and down slightly. This album is a lot more prog rock then the later efforts.

I was a huge Judas Priest fan from this lp up to Screaming For Vengeance and i saw them maybe a dozen times going from smallish clubs up to selling out the large cinemas as they were a local..ish band to where i grew up in the English Midlands. This still stands out as a superb album and for me their best, i've got the original on Gull Records. Rocka Rolla their debut is interesting too.

ive got Rocka Rolla coming on vinyl this week.

ive bought up to Painkiller on CD, and then lost interest. I could never find the first 2 albums anywhere until CDwow. Point of Entry would be another favourite and of course Screaming for Vengeance

ive never seen them live, would love to though, i hear they still have 'it'

I've just put Rocka Rolla on for the first time in years. It's bloody good, almost prog too like Sad Wings in places. Young 'Bob' Halford with his long hair looks very sweet:)

It's a great shame that the production on Sin After Sin and Stained Class is so piss poor, it really sucks the life out of the songs.

Verrry long time Priest fan. This album is one of their best IMO.

Zao- The Funeral of God.

Tight rhythm (AC/DC or Rage Against the Machine tight), judicious double kick, and roaring vox make for a very good conceptual deathcore album:)

Sodom - Code Red

Samael - Above

Not totally convinced by either of these, Code Red contains some good tracks, but it doesn't quite cut it. Above is quite similar to Immortal - All Shall Fall, but perhaps not quite as good. Still, it's better than any other Samael album that I've heard, quite a lot better in fact.

lol...its true,

but remember, dont judge a book by its cover. ;)

Particularly when it come to metal... there are some truly awful covers for some very good albums.

Now I have to think of some examples....

Depending on your point of view... Anything by Cannibal Corpse.
