Chill3 Posted February 25, 2015 Posted February 25, 2015 @@Sansui77 Mate, much as I love Sansui I'd like you to think about a female member of SNA (yes we have a few of them)coming on here and seeing your posted gifs... I'm not offended by them but I'm embarrassed by the sight of them. If my missus has a squiz at the site for instance after I ask her to do so to have a look at some gear ect ect. She'll give me even more grief about my preferred hobby and love. I don't want that, I want to be able to take the Handbrake to a GTG one day where the ambiance is cool, the wine is select and the company is interesting. She's declined already the one time I've ever asked her and the reason is related to the fact that a bunch of men will be there and when a bunch of men get together...well, she didn't elaborate apart from saying she'd be bored as we all banged on about hifi gear. If I showed her your post she'd just nod her head and walk away and I'll never get her to socialise with people here and I've met a few and they are all great people but I battle to convince her. Posts like yours don't help. Make of this what you will. I hate cats - hate them :0 3
Guest Muon Posted February 25, 2015 Posted February 25, 2015 (edited) Have been following this thread on and off. have an AU 317 that we love in our house. Would love to send it to Skippy for the "treatment", but we live in the state that time forgot. Costs a fortune to get anything in or out of here! And Sansui77...you chose the best avatar.... Call me old fashioned, but I fail to see how boobs can be offensive. That gif just says joy and fun to me! Feel free to put the originals back. But are you a female member viewing it? Just saying.....It's all in the perspective of the viewer, and what might not offend you.... may do someone else. I'm neither pro or con on it, just saying. Edit: But it is objectifying women in a sexual way. Otherwise you should be just as happy with bouncing back fat  (hungry toddlers exempt) Edited February 25, 2015 by ortofun

Damien Collins Posted February 25, 2015 Posted February 25, 2015 Hello Sansui fans I have a small dilemma. Im the happy new owner of an AU-417 and Im going to replace a Yamaha AS-500 in my main system. Im trying to work out how to run Phono, Tuner, CD and Squeezebox touch. The options I have are Phono-1 Phono-2 Tuner and Aux. I do have 2 tuner inputs but arent sure if I can use one for the ST. I also would like to add in my sub-woofer which was easy with my Sub-woofer Out on the Yammy. Can I run it from my System B speakers? Sorry if it seems Im not smart enough to have Vintage Hi-Fi. Thanks for any tips.
pete_mac Posted February 25, 2015 Posted February 25, 2015 You can utilise one of the tape inputs for the Squeezebox Touch if you wish. Regarding the subwoofer, if it has high-level/speaker-level connections on the rear, you can connect some speaker wiring from the 'B' speaker outputs on the amp to the inputs on the sub. Or alternatively, connecting them to the 'A' speaker outputs will be electrically the same. 5

JukKluk2 Posted April 26, 2015 Posted April 26, 2015 I think that my dad had one of these. Mum kept it after he died but , I think, eventually one channel failed and after that, I really don't know what happened to it. Next time I'm back in WA I will have to find out.

pete_mac Posted August 15, 2015 Posted August 15, 2015 I'll just leave this photo here... over 2.3kW of Sansui goodness (including a few amps out of shot such as lowly AU-717s, AU-D11s and the like which didn't scrape into contention for the photo... poor little Sansuis!! ) The pair of MINT AU-20000s are particularly impressive 8
