Item:  JLTi EL34  stereo integrated amplifier (modified Yaqin MC-10L stereo valve amplifier)
Location:  Melrose Park, NSW
Price:   SOLD
Item Condition:   Good, as new
Reason for selling:   Too many amps.
Payment Method: Cash on pick up, Direct Transfer

This is an amazing amp. Great details and deep and very clean bass. It has been further modified by Joe and it now runs with 12AT7 tubes. You will not get anything close to it for this money.

Just to confirm, this is a power amp (the volume switch is disabled). Confirmed as INTEGRATED

I reviewed this amp for DAR... it is a cracker.

I am sorely, sorely tempted.

This is an integrated amplifier, Joe connected the volume back.

I assume there is no remote or trigger mechanism to switch on and off. Is that correct.

No, there is no remote. You have to manually switch it on.

I've listened to this integrated amplifier many many times. Sound-wise, it's worth much more than the asking price.

Yes it does sound great, and ability to run 12AT7 tubes takes it to the next level.

In the digital audio review, the reviewer mentions that this unit is not self biasing and that a monthly visit from a multimeter would be required. Is that correct?

Once every few  months would be more accurate, just like many valve amps.

It is correct.

Is the multimeter test done by a technician?

Excuse me for my ignorance (I have never owner a tube amp before).

The owner can easily do this. When I was an owner I purchased a multimeter for about $20. A five minute exercise to bias.

It is very easily done. I will show it to you if you are interested.
