gemini07 Posted April 15, 2015 Posted April 15, 2015 If you want a concert-hall or complete theatre experience you can't go past these speakers. They are BIG and will immerse you in their scale, dynamics and overall atmosphere. Just make sure you have personal injury insurance - they weigh around 165 kg each. Hope you enjoy the sale experience Avian. 2
Guest Hensa Posted April 15, 2015 Posted April 15, 2015 Stunning speakers and I'm sure they would generate many "grand moments" as your title suggests! GLWTS!

Show Posted April 15, 2015 Posted April 15, 2015 (edited) If these don't sell in 18 months, they'd be mine No where to house them... for now... I also recall a mate in Rowville looking for a pair. He's not an SNAer. Edited April 15, 2015 by Show
Kaynin Posted April 15, 2015 Posted April 15, 2015 A Rowville member has a pair. I think Langwarrin needs this pair so i can come over and have a listen...

damohpi Posted April 16, 2015 Posted April 16, 2015 Hi, are these the grand monument references? and what did you buy from RedCo ?
avian Posted April 16, 2015 Author Posted April 16, 2015 (edited) Yep, they are the Grand Monument Reference, lovingly known as the grand moment as of yesterday. Such an eagle eye you have, just some Mogami XLR's for a non audiophile application Edited April 16, 2015 by avian
ELYAS Posted April 16, 2015 Posted April 16, 2015 I have listened to these and they are nothing short of spectacular. If I wanted to set up a dedicated 2ch system for that kind of money, I wouldn't even bother listening to anything else. Good luck with the sale mate. 2
vinilink Posted April 16, 2015 Posted April 16, 2015 If I metion to my finance minister of my desire to get this lovely pair of speakers, she will give me a marching order for sure. GLWTS
Kaynin Posted April 16, 2015 Posted April 16, 2015 I could swear these weren't the reference model yesterday... Anyway, there's a big difference between the Grand Monuments & the Grand Monument Reference - about $3,300, so at 12 months old, this is very good value...

Anyway, there's a big difference between the Grand Monuments & the Grand Monument Reference - about $3,300, so at 12 months old, this is very good value... I didn't think they were either, and was going to ask the question, especially in regards to the weight. But still, as you said, they are great value, and stunning performers.

But still, as you said, they are great value, and stunning performers. Sorry guys. It was listed as "Grand Monument" from the beginning, but there has been confusion since it seems (on here and in PM's), so I've added the "reference" bit to the first post. It's absolutely the reference. Greg should remember these speakers well (he doesnt get too many custom finish requests like this), and will be able to verify that and any of the niggly specific specifications I dont know off the top of my head - although I will try my best. 1
Kaynin Posted April 16, 2015 Posted April 16, 2015 Well worth clarifying that one, makes them even better buying! The non-standard finishes (black & white etc.) really look amazing in the flesh...
avian Posted April 19, 2015 Author Posted April 19, 2015 (edited) Thought I would attach a clearer photo of the drivers as I've had some enquiries. Edited April 19, 2015 by avian 2
Jventer Posted April 19, 2015 Posted April 19, 2015 I reckon these speakers are too big for your room. I have a solution: I will trade you my Osborn Eclipse Reference Towers in Gloss Black - and pay the freight . 2
joz Posted April 19, 2015 Posted April 19, 2015 If I metion to my finance minister of my desire to get this lovely pair of speakers, she will give me a marching order for sure. GLWTS Better still give the gal marching orders and grab these! 1
