metal beat Posted December 1, 2021 Author Posted December 1, 2021 (edited) dropped into Audio Connection today and had a nice listen to the Alexx V's driven by Antileon, Nagra HD pre and DCS streaming. What caught my eye was downstairs a pair of traded in Magico Q7 mk2's. Not as large as I expected them to be and not as cool looking as the Q5's I have seen in the past. the sloping top from front to back and the visible horizontal line on the sides just didn't look as good as the straight lines of the Q5's with 3 smaller woofers in a row imo. Apologies to any fans of these things, and this is from a local speaker manufacturer user, but surely, however industrial your tastes, however much you only care about the sound, the taste of vomit following a slight glimpse of your speakers as you lay Diana Krall on the TT would put you off any lullaby she may trill, however sweetly the Terminator-after-falling-in-the-acid-bath impostors relay it. 1

rocky500 Posted May 4, 2022 Posted May 4, 2022 If I where to come into a heap of money I might go for a set of the higher model Tekton speakers. The trim would match nicely to the new kettle I bought. 2 2
stevoz Posted May 16, 2022 Posted May 16, 2022 (edited) Via 'Seen Through Glass', an auto Youtube channel. This is the 'model spec room' at the Bugatti headquarters in France. "What are those speakers?" I screamed. Indeed they are 'Bugatti Royale' speakers, you can see the company logo on them.....but turns out they're made by another company (TidalAudio) and badged Bugatti.....but impressive none the less. This is from Tidal's website: BUGATTI – TIDAL – ultimate audio systems since 1999 (tidal-audio.com) Some more tantalising speakers....this time, Australian 'craziness'. The Kyron Gaia Evolution's @ $Au289,000. Wow! Edited May 20, 2022 by stevoz 2
Hawkeye Posted May 16, 2022 Posted May 16, 2022 Hi Stevoz, This topic has similarities to this Top Gear - interesting, home grown or extreme. Much of that topic centres around speakers. Yours might look at it from a different aspect, fwiw. Cheers 1
