Guest Muon Posted July 24, 2015 Posted July 24, 2015 (edited) The N' Forest cat and Maincoon are very alike, sometimes hard to pick which on is which. The Main' has a bigger tail doesn't it Both are beautiful cats Edited July 24, 2015 by ortofun
Guest Posted July 24, 2015 Posted July 24, 2015 (edited) My auntie used to have a strange breed of cats they referred to as "sailor cats" They had an extra "thumb" claw, and they got their name as the extra claw made it easier to climb ropes on ships..... Not sure how true that is, but they did have 6 claws per paw. EDIT Here we go http://www.catster.com/lifestyle/polydactyl-cats-facts ^_^ Edited July 24, 2015 by Dirty_vinylpusher
legselevens Posted July 24, 2015 Posted July 24, 2015 Some new and old pics of our wee beast. Her name is Mochi which is rice ball in Japanese.Turns out she's not as high born as she led us to believe but she makes up for it in character. As evident by her expression she was quite surprised to learn I am selling the Leak. 8
catman Posted July 24, 2015 Posted July 24, 2015 G'day all, a very cool thread! We no longer have any cats of our own, but our neighbours cats are always here (especially for breakfast). Here is 'Tiger' (one of them). Regards, Felix. 8

What's going on there? Looks odd
legselevens Posted July 24, 2015 Posted July 24, 2015 It does look odd but thankfully she has all paws intact.
legselevens Posted July 24, 2015 Posted July 24, 2015 (edited) It's just a stump where the tree was pruned. The colour in that pic is a bit washed out. Cat is quite coppery, ginger, torty, tabby. Hence why I occasionally refer to her as the walking pub carpet. Orto beat me to it. Edited July 24, 2015 by legselevens

legselevens Posted July 24, 2015 Posted July 24, 2015 Mrs Legselevens would love viewing all the pics in this thread but if I show her I may undermine my hifi purchase aspirations should she realise the potential to monitor my activity. 1

Ralph Posted July 25, 2015 Posted July 25, 2015 This is our old girl Samantha. She turned 21 this year and has outlived 2 of her 3 kittens : 487689_10150918627872434_620698877_n.jpg hang on - this is remarkable !! We also had a ginger female cat - which apparently is less than 5% of ginger cat population and, according to the vet, are usually sterile. Her name name was "Botswana" ("Botsy girl" to her friends) and recollection of her, even now, brings a tear to our eyes. Loving the thread Ralph
