Guest BobbyD Posted December 26, 2016 Posted December 26, 2016 Xmas day was tough for little Kiki and she had to have a nap........
Briz Vegas Posted December 31, 2016 Posted December 31, 2016 (edited) There are cats and there are siamese. This is a found video off youtube but its exactly the siamese experience. They think you are the most awesome thing on earth. I've had two shoulder pats and a headbutt just typing this sentence. ...now we have moved on to the stare at you from 3 inches away faze. I had better finish this post, "we" have moved on to siting on the armrest and inflicting slaps across the mouth with the right paw. oh hang on........the chicken will have finished defrosting in the kitchen right about now. Someone fancies his chances in the begging at the chopping board game. Edited December 31, 2016 by Briz Vegas 3
rocky500 Posted January 16, 2017 Posted January 16, 2017 (edited) Amazing what a cat will dive into and manage to squeeze into after a mouse. This time I was able to shut everything down before all my cables were knocked out. I helped her for 10 minutes to catch the mouse again. A bit of a mission. Then she just walked over with it and just dropped it again in front of the stereo and it went back behind again. Edited January 16, 2017 by rocky500 4
Briz Vegas Posted April 6, 2017 Posted April 6, 2017 It's cat season again. Singled by a minute drop in ambient temperature. Limpets more like, permanently attached as soon as you walk in the door. The football will be watched over 4 pointy ears tonight, except when I am avoiding a swatting paw demanding even more " look at me " attention.
blybo Posted April 18, 2017 Posted April 18, 2017 Seems like our little moggie may not last the day... He's 14 and I noticed his strained breathing yesterday, ironically after picking him up from my wife's vet practice which he stays at while we are away. He looked worse this morning and I took him straight back there as my wife packs to go to the Sunshine Coast for a wedding. Just heard it appears he has a tumour in his lung which is leaking and he is going down hill fast. My wife isn't seeing this objectively as she took him in as a kitten before we met. She is currently on her way to the practice when she should be on the way to the airport. His only hope is lung surgery by a specialist, despite the fact he is 14 and it is probably a lung cancer. My wife told me they usually have spread before you find the primary so even if he survives, he will still have a fight on his hands.
Martykt Posted April 18, 2017 Posted April 18, 2017 I'm sorry to hear that @blybo. He is a beautiful cat and I'm sure he'll very much be missed when he goes. Please give him a pat from me. 1

My kids are upset enough that their Mum is travelling without them, never mind the cat might not come home... I've just gone out and bought a bottle of scotch, I don't think it's going to be a fun night.

I have just had a cat pass away six weeks ago and it is dreadful. I'm still not over it. Fingers crossed he makes it. I wish you and your family all the best.

My thoughts are with you and your family. I'm here if you need a mate. 1
blybo Posted April 18, 2017 Posted April 18, 2017 My wifes practice is in the middle of a renovation to add a cattery. Mount Waverley area btw... We were going to call it Relax With Max, our little fellas name. Not sure now... And yes I know it's a local bands name. Waiting for the dreaded call
YCC Posted April 18, 2017 Posted April 18, 2017 I lost Andy & Ollie 5 years ago and to this day miss them terribly. 1
blybo Posted April 18, 2017 Posted April 18, 2017 CT was positive, we are going in. Cross your fingers for Maxy please. Specialist told my wife it's incredible he was still alive as all the air was in his chest, not his lungs. 4

Maxy is alive and well, in recovery but about to go into ICU for al least 24 hours, breathing un-aided, but now missing a lung node. Now just have to wait on pathology of the tumour. 4
