I saw them as a trio in Melbourne a few months ago

Decades ago they played in Sydney 2 nights with David McComb in the band

Can't remember the pub down past the uni

A great band

It would have been the Annandale Hotel but saw them play a few venues in Sydney.

Occasionally it would be a double bill with Rob Snarski's brother Mark's band The Jackson Code who were also firing on all cylinders in those days.

So even when cancer took part of mum’s body, and the chemo took all of her hair,

Dad used to tease mum about girls from Heyfield, ‘cause that’s how she knows that he cares.

Came on the iPod this morning

Saw you stretched out in room ten o nine

With a smile on your face and a tear in your eye

How many times would Mick have seen that sight

Rolling Stones although this was written by Mick

If you think just right

If you'll love you'll find

Certain truths left behind

But I got an emptiness deep inside

And I've tried but it won't let me go

Let's fill these hours and kill desire

I'm in touch with you

Let's kill these hours and fill desire

Meh. Full stops, colon and a comma. But, who's counting? ;)

Antony's version is my fav at the moment. Some days, it's the Webb sisters from Live in London.

Some brothers wanna play that "hard" role, and tell you that the butt ain't gold

So they toss it and leave it, and I pull up quick to retrieve it

Semolina pilchard, climbing up the Eiffel Tower.
Elementary penguin singing Hari Krishna.
Man, you should have seen them kicking Edgar Allan Poe.
I am the egg man, they are the egg men.
I am the walrus, coo coo cachoo ca coo coo cachoo. Coo coo cachou ca coo.

Depending on what you have been imbibing, this may or may not be very meaningful.

Excuse me
Oh will ya excuse me
I'm just trying to find the bridge
Has anybody seen the bridge?
Please!
(Have you seen the bridge?)
I ain't seen the bridge!
(Where's that confounded bridge?)

The entire song is very meaningful.  Zep, The Crunge.  I could post anything from that and it would be pause for thought.

Maybe not Marxist.

Definitely Lennonist.
