He ain't got laid in a month of Sundays

I caught him once and he was sniffin' my undies

I mix in the same circles as a local Bluegrass outfit called "Lonesome Still".  The band is lead by a husband and wife duo who do a great cover of that song.  Cracks me up every time.

I saw Kasey Chambers sing that

Before she started she laughed and said she needed one of the band to come up and sing because she couldn't sing it with Bill because of that line

I was tossing up between that and

She thinks all my jokes are corny

Convict movies make her horny

I almost posted the whole damn thing!

Black bodies swingin' in the Southern breeze

Strange fruit hanging from the poplar trees

I can't listen to that song

The imagery is too graphic

I was driving to work a few months ago about 4am it came on the radio

Nina Simone?

Gave me a bad feeling for hours after

I hear the roar of the big machine
Two worlds and in between
Hot metal and methedrine

Twenty-five whores in the room next door
Twenty-five floors and I need more

Made famous by Billie Holiday, and I prefer her version over Nina's.

A chilling and powerful song.

I like challenging music that takes me out of my comfort zone.

"The Living Years, Mike & the Mechanics"

Every generation blames the one before and all if their frustrations come beating on your door, I know that I'm a prisoner to what my father held so dear, I know that I'm a hostage to all his hopes and fears, I just wish I could have told him in the Living Years.

Sukie was the kid, she liked to hang out at the art school

She didn't enrol, but she wiped the floor with all the a**holes
