I just got the rates notice today, Yarra Ranges Shire (outer, outer east of Melbourne), gone up $200 now $1740 for the year,

Nope that's a completely different company,  that's another $1000 - $1200 per year.   :emot-bang:

My pensioner Mum has to pay $5950 for rates, plus water charges!

 

All for a house that she raised us in, and on a NZ Super of about $20,00 per year.

 

Suggest she move and well you know the story... :(

Time of the year again, here they are:

 

$2545.58. for the  property I live in.

$2203.58  for the  rental.

Looking on the bright side at least Melb is voted the most lovable city in the world, 2 yrs running! :ohmy: :D

yep got our bill $1099 for 2017/18..... gone up about $19 for year... vs last year...

If I have a good job there, I'd take Wien over Melbourne any day. There's no comparison in my book.

My rates are generally $450 per QTR - Brisbane City Council 

 

THIS excludes water rates that are about the same @ $430 per qtr 

 

No wonder I'm always broke

Exited, is that a variation on excited? Or is that as 'the act of exiting', as in the opposite of arriving, or an antonym of sorts to coming? :oops:
