Are there any 4k players out yet ??

soon :)

1st one ships in a couple of weeks or so.

Posted

a few screen shots off the projector :)

Beautiful Al, clarity and sharpness is incredible.

Brolin is one of those guys who looked 40 when they were 20 and will look 40 when he is 90. :)

I'm a big fan of his, more so than his father, but that's likely a generational thing.  He's also very good in Inherent Vice and No Country for Old Men.

Nah, as much as I love the Blunt, it ain't her best film for her looking good.

amazing to say for movies these days...but I felt it was too short !!!!

i thought about it, i think the movie is Blunt (pun intended! :D ), Precise and Efficient. the editing work is just excellent, never lose pace then when it came to anti climax, you just hit with the reality that some things are just really not in your power / control to dictate even though you are in the middle of it (in Blunt's character point of view - as the whole movie set from her perspective)

someone told me once ...with anything ...eg a meal...if you leave wanting more...thats a good thing :)

When dealing with the likes of the drug trade, you have to be as unlawful as they are to keep up and hopefully conquer.

As you could imagine, what really goes on that we don't know about, that this Blunt Character discovered herself.

I saw this film at the movies, really surprised me at the quality as it was a last minute choice.

Very good movie.

Del Toro is one of the best actors getting around. I have liked just about everything I've seen him in. Especially 21 Grams.

As for Sicario, I knew I'd love it and wasn't disappointed. Watched it again the following day.

It was good, watchable for a yank effort.

Am into international movies now which are so involving and refreshing compared to the never ending stream of USA stuff, it's like they talk to you whilst American shows talk at you. :)

I enjoyed Sicario. It doesn't break any new ground but it is worth a look.

Yeah great flick. The soundtrack was awesome - a sense of dread all the way through.

Is that the same sense of dread you have when you're trying to sneak a new hifi purchase through the house in the dead of night?

GTG @@betty boop place when all the 4K comes together to watch Emily Blunt in full 4K glory... :thumb::P. :D

Can you just see betty & wife watching a movie at home... Suspense is building... who's behind that door?...

Al "wow, that looks amazing" hits pause and dives for the camera

"WTF!"

:thumb: :thumb: :thumb: :thumb:

I watched Sicario the other night and thought, like @ that the sense of foreboding and dread was intense, although not to the same extent of another slightly older release we also watched this week, A Very Violent Year. Still a great movie. We always now when we've seen a great flic at home because we immediately dive into the extras.

I love the ending....when you think about it, I hate to say it, I'm quite sure there's a lot of truth shown in this movie, basically it's kill or be killed....shouldn't say anymore to spoil it.

They didn't think such a skinny girl would convincingly make a tough female warrior did they? When she turned out so hopeless it made all the sense.
