You will know this is one of the sought after early PS3s. This is the "80GB" US model. It should be backward compatiable with PS2 and PS 1 games (I tried a PS2 game when i first bought this and it worked; however I haven't used this function since). It plays Super Audio CDs (SACDs), a feature that was removed in later models. (Unfortunately this PS3 has had its operating system upgraded to version 4.55, so this cannot be used for ripping SACDs).

The console comes with a dual shock 3 controller, plus a second generic wired controller, plus Gran Turismo 6. The hard drive has been upgraded to a 1TB drive - lots of space in there.

In great condition - a few scratches etc as you would expect - the most serious I have included an image of below. When i bought this I was also given a spare boxed BD drive for this. I have no idea if it is compatible or works - the seller claimed it was a new drive that he attained as a spare.

Last year I got the Playstation professional reballed by Console Electronics in Sydney (reciept included below). The graphics chip was professionally resoldered and the fan was modified to run at top speed, helping to preserve the chip (this is to stave off the so called "yellow light of death" error that afflicts many of these old PS3s).

Great machine if you want something looked after, serviced and functioning.

PLEASE NOTE - as this is a US machine, it will not play region coded material, including Australian DVDs. However it will play all Playstation 3 games and most Bluray discs.
