Kalliope yes.

Q7 mk2 no cigar after many auditions ...but I think I have chosen a far better speaker for my tastes which I think will impress

Soulution 701/711 no ..very impressive but not enough to make me change from Mephisto.

Monos are on my radar for my next speaker though....at the moment I think you know which brand is leading the way....

I personally know 3 former or current Trinity owners that now Lampizator Golden Gate Dacs at one third the retail price.

Combine that dac with the new limited edition EML 45 Anniversary MESH globe and it's a winner.

Lampi has chipless DSD engine and Ladder PCM in the same box. ...though many just upsample everything on the fly to DSD256 for playback. Very, very viable option for those of us that like the Lampi sound. A jewel in disguise.

Having said that, the Trinity is wonderful on PCM, as is the Chord DAVE. I am hearing that the T+A Dac8 is great on (chipless) DSD 512.

I heard the MSB Select in Show conditions and am still looking for the missing $70K!! That is, it sounded great, but nowhere can I justify the price on sonic grouds. The Nagra HD Dac at US$20K is a FAR better buy.
