With a smart-phone experience and simplified design, the AK Jr exemplifies the original concept of the Astell&Kern line-up. Boasting a crystal clear 3.1” LCD touchscreen, the AK Jr provides plenty of space to display your music information. It features 64GB of internal memory and a microSD card slot, enabling you to expand the memory size with an additional 64GB microSD card for a total capacity of 128GB of music storage, enough to store your collection for your on-the-go needs.
The raised screen in the AK Jr provides a secure grip and slims down the profile of the device to 6.9mm. With its sleek appeal, the AK Jr is crafted with a full aluminum body and textured aluminum volume wheel, which combined, allowing for smooth one-handed control of the device.
AK Jr features a single Wolfson WM8740 DAC and an unbalanced 3.5mm headphone jack with an output impedance of 2 ohms, allowing the device to be powerful enough to drive a wide range of high-end headphones. Like other products in the Astell&Kern range, the AK Jr includes the ability to use the device as a USB DAC, by connecting it to your computer for high-resolution sound output, enhancing your sound-experience at your desk as well.
The AK Jr supports a wide range of digital audio files, including up to 24/192kHz PCM and single-rate DSD high-resolution files, as well as many lossy and lossless music formats.
