Sporting a neat Titanium Orange colour-way, the new preamplifier has much more than awesome aesthetics going for it. However, the single-piece of milled aluminium used for the chassis has been designed to be cool - in every sense of the word.
The Alluxity Pre 2 is a fully balanced preamp featuring streaming skills along with a built-in DAC.
It features a variety of different digital and analogue inputs which are all easily managed through the 5-inch touch screen on the front of the unit. Connectivity includes RCA, XLR, AES, USB, Optical and S/PDIF inputs with RCA and XLR outs. Naturally, for a streamer, there is an Ethernet port, and even a USB port specifically for a wireless dongle, should the need arise.
On the subject of streaming, the MCONNECT app hands you Tidal, Qobuz, Apple AirPlay, Spotify, MQA and NAS playback.
We love the Titanium Orange, of course, but the 14kg Alluxity Pre 2 will also be available in White, Black and Titanium.
We are awaiting more details and UK pricing but, as soon as we get those, we'll add them here.
