Inspired by the look of classic ‘70s audio gear, the AVENTHO 100 arrives in three timeless finishes — black, cream, and brown — with plush, replaceable memory foam earpads and premium materials that aim to balance durability with old-school style. The headphones’ compact, foldable build underscores their travel-ready credentials. At the same time, the inclusion of a soft drawstring carry bag, 3.5mm AUX cable and USB-C charging means they’re ready to plug into almost any scenario. At around 220 grams, they’re certainly light enough for extended listening sessions on your daily commute or long-haul flight.

It’s also something of a full-circle moment for us, having first reported on the original Aventho Wireless back in 2018 — an early showcase of app-driven sound personalisation that pointed the way for what’s now a far more refined package.

Behind the retro styling, Beyerdynamic has loaded in a range of contemporary features. Active Noise Cancelling (ANC) lets listeners tune out daily distractions, complemented by Qualcomm cVc tech for clearer calls, making the AVENTHO 100 equally suited to work, travel or casual listening. A 45mm driver, designed and developed in Germany, promises a balanced signature with rich bass, detailed mids and clean highs. Bluetooth 5.4 connectivity supports aptX Lossless and Adaptive codecs, Google Fast Pair, and multipoint pairing to keep them smoothly connected to smartphones and laptops.

Battery life is another highlight, comfortably outpacing many rivals with up to 60 hours of playback without ANC, or around 40 hours with it engaged — making it one of the longest-lasting in its class to date. A quick 15-minute top-up yields an impressive 15 hours of use, ensuring there’s enough juice for everything from a week of commuting to long-haul flights. On-ear controls handle calls and playback directly, and the companion beyerdynamic app offers adjustable ANC levels, firmware updates and personalisation tweaks to keep performance dialled in.

Beyerdynamic says the AVENTHO 100 continues its commitment to craftsmanship, comfort, and precise German engineering — a legacy stretching back over a century. The headphones have already won a Red Dot Design Award for 2025, underscoring that blend of style and substance.

The AVENTHO 100 is available now with pricing listed at €199 | A$349.
