The AXN10 and compact MXN10 network players have proved massively popular, with the AXN10 further embellished with a StereoNET Applause Award. However, the British hi-fi brand has made them even better - at no extra cost to owners!

We're told that in response to customer feedback, Cambridge Audio has added app volume control to both players, and this is available via a free firmware update which is now available.

Once updated via the StreamMagic app, the AXN10 and MXN10 will have pre-amp functionality, allowing you to control volume from within the app. You can still adjust the volume from within your streaming service's app or via the physical controls on your amp/wireless speaker if that's your preference.

Other updates in the new software release add more functionality to the StreamMagic app, including two new browsing functions: 'Go to Album' and 'Go to Artist'. The Now Playing screen also offers more options for favouriting and adding tracks to playlists.

Cambridge Audio's AXN10 and MXN10 are available now – and for a limited period, the AXN10 is available at the same price as its smaller sibling: £449, a £100 saving. So, what are you waiting for?
