Canada’s IsoAcoustics and PSB Speakers Collaborate

PSB Speakers made famous by innovator and founder, Paul Barton, generally need little in the way of introduction. Fellow Canucks, IsoAcoustics might be the relative newcomer, but its acoustic isolation products are winning fans and awards around the world already.
So the news of a collaboration between the two companies is welcome. Barton, being so impressed by IsoAcoustics achievements, brought the two together to offer "a number of upcoming PSB Speakers that will feature integrated IsoAcoustics isolation technology."
Steve Burton, General Manager at IsoAcoustics' Australian distributor, Convoy, told StereoNET:
Paul recognised the way IsoAcoustics manages the interaction with the supporting surface and is making IsoAcoustics an integral part of his upcoming releases. The first PSB Speaker with IsoAcoustics integration, the CustomSound In-Room Sub (CSIR Sub), will be shown at Integrated Systems Europe (ISE) show in Amsterdam this February.
Dave Morrison, founder of IsoAcoustics, added:
Paul Barton has always been an innovator in the audio industry. He was instrumental in building the audio industry in Canada and paved the way for companies like ours,
Continuing,
I am so pleased he recognises the contribution IsoAcoustics products make, and I am excited to be working with him and his team at PSB Speakers.
IsoAcoustics isolation products complement speakers to deliver greater sound clarity and a more open three-dimensional sound stage. An A/B demonstration of two identical pairs of PSB Speakers at the StereoNET Melbourne Hi-Fi Show last year left no doubt in punters minds when they compared, back to back, one pair with IsoAcoustics isolation, and other without. The push of a button switched the pairs of speakers.
We look forward to the fruits of this collaboration between two already successful experts in loudspeakers, acoustics, and isolation.
Upgrading your speakers with IsoAcoustics GAIA or Aperta feet is one of the most cost-effective upgrades you can make to your audio system. But don't just take our word for it.

applause awards
Each time StereoNET reviews a product, it is considered for an Applause Award. Winning one marks it out as a design of great quality and distinction – a special product in its class, on the grounds of either performance, value for money, or usually both.
Applause Awards are personally issued by StereoNET’s global Editor-in-Chief, David Price – who has over three decades of experience reviewing hi-fi products at the highest level – after consulting with our senior editorial team. They are not automatically given with all reviews, nor can manufacturers purchase them.
The StereoNET editorial team includes some of the world’s most experienced and respected hi-fi journalists with a vast wealth of knowledge. Some have edited popular English language hi-fi magazines, and others have been senior contributors to famous audio journals stretching back to the late 1970s. And we also employ professional IT and home theatre specialists who work at the cutting edge of today’s technology.
We believe that no other online hi-fi and home cinema resource offers such expert knowledge, so when StereoNET gives an Applause Award, it is a trustworthy hallmark of quality. Receiving such an award is the prerequisite to becoming eligible for our annual Product of the Year awards, awarded only to the finest designs in their respective categories. Buyers of hi-fi, home cinema, and headphones can be sure that a StereoNET Applause Award winner is worthy of your most serious attention.
