Chord Hugo 2 and 2go Combo Cases

Chord Electronics has launched a pair of leather cases for its Hugo 2 DAC/headphone amplifier and 2go streamer/server combination.
The new Hugo 2/2go cases from Chord Electronics offer typically stylish protection from knocks, dust and scratches no matter if this DAC and streamer combination is used at home or on the move.
Building on the Hugo 2's own leather jacket, Chord offers two variants: the Hugo 2/2go case and the Hugo 2/2go carry case, the latter adding a shoulder strap. The leather cases have been styled by Chord Electronics’ founder, owner and Chief Designer, John Franks.
The cases promise a snug fit that perfectly cossets both the Hugo 2 and 2go’s machined-aluminium casework when the devices are connected. The intelligent design naturally gives unrestricted access to Hugo 2’s connectivity suite of inputs and headphone outputs.
Additionally, the now-famous Chord viewing porthole remains visible. Finally, the iconic volume control sphere and the 2go’s charging Micro-USB port and 2x (1 TB-compatible) microSD card slots are all easily accessible. Needless to say, you can still use the remote control with Hugo 2 whilst in its case.
Finished in racy high-quality black leather with contrasting red stitching, the Hugo 2/2go cases are crafted to high standards expected from the British brand.
The cases are supplied with a leather 2go key fob, plus a plastic dust cover to protect 2go’s Ethernet port when not in use. Moreover, they're shipped in environmentally-friendly packaging.
Both cases are available now with the Hugo 2/2go case costing £99.95 whereas the carry case costs an extra tenner at £109.95.

applause awards
Each time StereoNET reviews a product, it is considered for an Applause Award. Winning one marks it out as a design of great quality and distinction – a special product in its class, on the grounds of either performance, value for money, or usually both.
Applause Awards are personally issued by StereoNET’s global Editor-in-Chief, David Price – who has over three decades of experience reviewing hi-fi products at the highest level – after consulting with our senior editorial team. They are not automatically given with all reviews, nor can manufacturers purchase them.
The StereoNET editorial team includes some of the world’s most experienced and respected hi-fi journalists with a vast wealth of knowledge. Some have edited popular English language hi-fi magazines, and others have been senior contributors to famous audio journals stretching back to the late 1970s. And we also employ professional IT and home theatre specialists who work at the cutting edge of today’s technology.
We believe that no other online hi-fi and home cinema resource offers such expert knowledge, so when StereoNET gives an Applause Award, it is a trustworthy hallmark of quality. Receiving such an award is the prerequisite to becoming eligible for our annual Product of the Year awards, awarded only to the finest designs in their respective categories. Buyers of hi-fi, home cinema, and headphones can be sure that a StereoNET Applause Award winner is worthy of your most serious attention.
