StereoNET liked loved DALI's Katch when we had a review unit, and as I previously reported over at GadgetyNews, I have to agree that for such a small and portable device, the sound quality is remarkable.

As spotted on our recent visit to IFA, the stylish DALI KATCH is now available in a brace of new colours.

By way of a quick reminder, under the extruded aluminium hood sits a Class-D amplifier that's capable of pumping out 2 x 25 Watts of power. The amp drives 2 x 21 mm soft-dome tweeters and 2 x 3.5-inch passive aluminium woofers, one pair facing front and one pair at the rear.

Furthermore, the DALI KATCH features two placement profiles one for freestanding play and one that utilises placement on a shelf to reflect sound back from a wall.

Connectivity comes by way of Bluetooth 4.0 with Apt-X as well as NFC. Should you require a more physical connection, DALI has included a stereo mini-jack input. Finally, there's a USB charge connector which means that you can drive a Chromecast Audio dongle too, integrating your DALI KATCH into your home network.

DALI KATCH JET BLACK

Speaking of power, the DALI KATCH’s 2600 mAh internal battery offers up to 24-hours of untethered playback. A full recharge takes around 2 hours.

With the release of the latest hues, the colour options are now Dark Shadow, Jet Black and Grape Leaf. Cloud Gray and Green Moss are still available for a limited time only.

Priced at €399 the portable DALI KATCH Bluetooth speaker is available in the new colours as of right now.
