DIRAC LIVE BASS MANAGEMENT COMES TO NAD & JBL SYNTHESIS
Dirac Live, one of the leaders in integrated room correction DSP will debut its new Dirac Live Bass Management at CEDIA Expo in Denver in September.
We first wrote about Dirac Live Bass Management back in December 2018, which at the time was said to launch in the first quarter of 2019.
Dirac Live says that NAD Electronics' M10 BluOS streaming amplifier and the C658 BluOS streaming DAC will be among the first products to feature Dirac Live Bass Management.
Niklas Thorin, General Manager of high-performance audio at Dirac, told StereoNET:
Even the most high-end hardware possesses certain performance deficiencies - ones that can only be resolved through an understanding of the room itself,
However, while Dirac Live offered new standards in room correction and speaker phase correction, it left one area - the subwoofer's low-frequency bass tones unaddressed. The new Dirac Live Bass Management now equips installers and their customers with a tool that addresses this final frontier, moving them one step closer to acoustical perfection.
Its new solution is said to save time by offering the world's first predictive results analysis allowing users to see a visual representation of the predicted bass performance in-room, without the need to run repeated audible tests.
Storm Audio, Arcam, and JBL Synthesis will also be Dirac Live Bass Management software capable.
When originally announced, Dirac Live suggested it would offer tiered pricing with various price points providing differing levels of functionality.
Dirac Live Bass Management's first modular add ons are available for USD $249 (Single-Sub) or USD $399 (Multi-Sub) version.
