Harman Kardon Citation Series Joins Luxury Audio Group

Harman Kardon's Citation series has been added to Harman Luxury Group's roster of prestigious audio brands.
UK distribution of the Citation wireless speaker line is now the responsibility of Harman's Luxury Audio Group (LAG), and so joins Arcam, JBL Synthesis, Lexicon, Mark Levinson, and Revel.
Harman Kardon's Citation series was launched in 2019 and brings together smart technology, and attention to aesthetic detail says LAG. Features such as Scandinavian industrial design, including premium blended wool fabrics from Danish textile house Kvadrat, merge with multi-room capabilities.
The latest Citation line includes multiple countertop speaker options; HDMI-equipped soundbars; a powered wireless subwoofer; surround speakers; and powered speakers. All Citation speakers offer wireless capability and models integrate Apple AirPlay, Bluetooth, Chromecast built-in, Google Assistant, and hi-res audio support.
Scott Campbell, Director Sales at Luxury Audio Group, Global, told StereoNET:
The Citation series is a tremendous addition to the HARMAN Luxury Audio Group. The brand's smart mix of cutting-edge tech and industrial design delivers a compelling line; one which perfectly complements our other five brands. Citation is a great conversation starter for our dealers and, ultimately, a further rewarding path to achieving more business and producing more satisfied customers.

Upcoming Citation line model launches were previewed at CES at the start of the year. The new line-up includes the Oasis (above), a Bluetooth and Wi-Fi speaker which features Hey Google, DAB/DAB+ radio, a voice-controlled alarm clock and an integral wireless charge-pad, making it perfect for use with the latest smartphones.
Additionally, the Harman Kardon Citation Multibeam 700 soundbar sports MultiBeam surround sound technology with room calibration as well as housing seven drivers, HDMI connectivity, and comes complete with a full-colour LCD display. As seen in the picture above, the Citation Multibeam 700 can be partnered with the Sub S – the line's new compact, wireless subwoofer capable of powering 100 watts.
Another new arrival is the Citation 200. This neat, portable 'wire-free' design comes with a docking cradle, enabling up to eight hours playback time from a single charge, which together with its IPX-4 splash-proof rating, makes the Citation 200 the ideal companion for time spent near the water's edge.

applause awards
Each time StereoNET reviews a product, it is considered for an Applause Award. Winning one marks it out as a design of great quality and distinction – a special product in its class, on the grounds of either performance, value for money, or usually both.
Applause Awards are personally issued by StereoNET’s global Editor-in-Chief, David Price – who has over three decades of experience reviewing hi-fi products at the highest level – after consulting with our senior editorial team. They are not automatically given with all reviews, nor can manufacturers purchase them.
The StereoNET editorial team includes some of the world’s most experienced and respected hi-fi journalists with a vast wealth of knowledge. Some have edited popular English language hi-fi magazines, and others have been senior contributors to famous audio journals stretching back to the late 1970s. And we also employ professional IT and home theatre specialists who work at the cutting edge of today’s technology.
We believe that no other online hi-fi and home cinema resource offers such expert knowledge, so when StereoNET gives an Applause Award, it is a trustworthy hallmark of quality. Receiving such an award is the prerequisite to becoming eligible for our annual Product of the Year awards, awarded only to the finest designs in their respective categories. Buyers of hi-fi, home cinema, and headphones can be sure that a StereoNET Applause Award winner is worthy of your most serious attention.
