Hi-Fi Show: New Launches from Parasound and GoldenEar Technology

National AV will be launching many new products from Parasound and GoldenEar Technology in Room M7 at this year's StereoNET Melbourne Hi-Fi Show.
Already being hailed as incredible value is GoldenEar Technology's brand new Triton One.R which is based on the brand's flagship speaker, the Triton Reference.
Now available in Australia for $11,500 RRP, the 54" tall Triton One.R will be displayed for the very first time.
The new speaker's upgraded technology includes a 56 bit DSP engine for the powered sub, a fully balanced crossover design, high-end film capacitors, advanced cabinet design, and much more.
The Triton One .R's built-in subwoofer section is powered by a 1600 watt GoldenEar SuperSub digital amplifier. The amp drives three newly designed racetrack-shaped active subwoofer drivers with massive magnet structures, coupled to dual (per side) side-mounted 7" x 10" quadratic planar infrasonic bass radiators to extend the low-frequency response.
These are inertially balanced (two on each side) to minimise cabinet movement, for more detailed sound. The two 5.25" upper-bass/midrange drivers with GoldenEar's proprietary Multi-Vaned Phase Plug (MVPP™) are also new, incorporating a cone utilising a special formulation of polypropylene and the new focused field magnet structure developed for the Triton Reference.
The drivers are housed in dual discreet midrange chambers, arranged in a D'Appolito array surrounding the extraordinary GoldenEar Reference High-Gauss High-Velocity Folded Ribbon (HVFR™) tweeter, the same as used in the Triton Reference. This new design incorporates 50% more neodymium magnet material than previous units, for higher efficiency and greater control.
The gorgeous cabinet is painstakingly finished in a hand-rubbed piano black lacquer. It presents itself as an exquisite, sleek, ultra-high-performance lifestyle loudspeaker that delivers extraordinary sound quality comparable with speakers selling for many times the Triton One .R's asking price.
The One.R will be teamed with the all-new Parasound P6 preamp ($2995 RRP) which follows on from the award-winning P5 but with several significant upgrades including new Sabre reference DAC, new Burr-Brown volume control and much more.
Powering the speakers will be the new Parasound Halo JC5 dual-mono stereo amplifier with a massive 400 watts RMS per Channel into 8 ohms. National AV says this represents the best value high-end amplifier at the show at $10,995, so an audition is recommended.
Also on display in Room M7 will be the beautiful Brodmann Vienna series speakers ($17,500 RRP) which will be alternating each hour for presentations.
Sources will include a Melco music server and TIDAL streaming.
National AV will also have on display many new Parasound products including the Halo Integrated ($5995), JC3 Jr phono pre ($2995), A23 Plus ($2895) and the new Classic 200 integrated amp ($2495).
Be sure to drop into Room M7 on Level 1 of the Pullman Atrium. The StereoNET show opens at noon on Friday, 18th October and concludes at 5 PM on Sunday, at the Pullman Hotel, Albert Park.20th October

applause awards
Each time StereoNET reviews a product, it is considered for an Applause Award. Winning one marks it out as a design of great quality and distinction – a special product in its class, on the grounds of either performance, value for money, or usually both.
Applause Awards are personally issued by StereoNET’s global Editor-in-Chief, David Price – who has over three decades of experience reviewing hi-fi products at the highest level – after consulting with our senior editorial team. They are not automatically given with all reviews, nor can manufacturers purchase them.
The StereoNET editorial team includes some of the world’s most experienced and respected hi-fi journalists with a vast wealth of knowledge. Some have edited popular English language hi-fi magazines, and others have been senior contributors to famous audio journals stretching back to the late 1970s. And we also employ professional IT and home theatre specialists who work at the cutting edge of today’s technology.
We believe that no other online hi-fi and home cinema resource offers such expert knowledge, so when StereoNET gives an Applause Award, it is a trustworthy hallmark of quality. Receiving such an award is the prerequisite to becoming eligible for our annual Product of the Year awards, awarded only to the finest designs in their respective categories. Buyers of hi-fi, home cinema, and headphones can be sure that a StereoNET Applause Award winner is worthy of your most serious attention.
