High End Munich Postponed Until May 2022

High End Munich 2021 has now been rescheduled to take place in May 2022.
High End Munich 2021, which had been bumped back to run between September 9 until 12, 2021, has now been moved to May 2022.
The organising body, High End Society Service GmbH, has blamed the ongoing impact of the Covid-19 pandemic. The result is that the world-renowned audio trade show effectively returns to its usual spring timeslot and be held at the MOC Event Center in Munich from May 19 to 22, 2022.
Additionally, the IPS – International Parts + Supply event, which was due to be held alongside the High End, has also be postponed until the new year and will open its doors for the first time on May 19 and 20, 2022.
As we reported, the halls and atriums of the MOC are fully booked, and a meticulous hygiene and infection protection concept had been developed; even so, the organiser believes that taking this action at an early stage is necessary given the current situation.
Stefan Dreischärf, Managing Director of High End Society Service GmbH, told StereoNET:
We have prepared for the event extremely well and were confident that the HIGH END and the new IPS would be able to take place this autumn despite the changing conditions. That said, we have to adopt a far-sighted approach to maintain the trust of our exhibitors. Given the slow development on a global scale, we believe that the current situation is too uncertain. The risk of having to cancel the event at short notice is simply too high.
WHAT WE THINK
It is hoped that the current measures will have been significantly eased by next year, and global travel is, therefore, likely to be possible with no limitations. It's a shame that this will make it two years in a row without this most excellent show - possibly the best in the world - as High End Munich 2020 was also a victim of the pandemic. However, we do agree with the decision.
We look forward to seeing you all at High End Munich 2022, though!

applause awards
Each time StereoNET reviews a product, it is considered for an Applause Award. Winning one marks it out as a design of great quality and distinction – a special product in its class, on the grounds of either performance, value for money, or usually both.
Applause Awards are personally issued by StereoNET’s global Editor-in-Chief, David Price – who has over three decades of experience reviewing hi-fi products at the highest level – after consulting with our senior editorial team. They are not automatically given with all reviews, nor can manufacturers purchase them.
The StereoNET editorial team includes some of the world’s most experienced and respected hi-fi journalists with a vast wealth of knowledge. Some have edited popular English language hi-fi magazines, and others have been senior contributors to famous audio journals stretching back to the late 1970s. And we also employ professional IT and home theatre specialists who work at the cutting edge of today’s technology.
We believe that no other online hi-fi and home cinema resource offers such expert knowledge, so when StereoNET gives an Applause Award, it is a trustworthy hallmark of quality. Receiving such an award is the prerequisite to becoming eligible for our annual Product of the Year awards, awarded only to the finest designs in their respective categories. Buyers of hi-fi, home cinema, and headphones can be sure that a StereoNET Applause Award winner is worthy of your most serious attention.
