Isoacoustics Unveils New Delos Options And Orea Graphite Pucks

IsoAcoustics has taken the wraps off the new DELOS series of walnut and maple isolation platforms as well as the new OREA Graphite isolators in Toronto.

The Toronto Audio Fest has seen the unveiling of a group of new hi-fi isolation products from IsoAcoustics.

New DELOS Sizes

Firstly, the DELOS isolation platform, designed specially to isolate turntables and electronic components from any interference caused by external vibrations and resonances, has been revealed in new sizes.

IsoAcoustics DELOS Toronto

Named after the floating island of Delos from Greek mythology, the new models combine the award-winning IsoAcoustics patented isolation technology with a solid butcher block to provide a stable platform with a low noise floor.

The mass of the solid walnut and maple wood and the integrated IsoAcoustics isolators combine to eliminate any interference from external and structural vibrations. You can expect superior audio performance with greater clarity and detail as a result.

The DELOS will be available in a smaller 18- x 15-inch (455x380mm - WxD) size and a larger 22- x 16inch (560x405mm - WxD) size.

Both sizes are available in 1 ¾-inch (45mm) and 3-inch (76mm) thickness.

The smaller size has a maximum weight capacity of 65 lbs (29.5 kg) and 55 lbs (24.9 kg) for the 1 ¾-inch (45mm) and 3-inch (75mm) models respectively.

The larger size DELOS has an extra row of integrated isolators to provide a higher weight capacity at 100 lbs (45.4 kg) for the 1 ¾-inch (45mm) thick model and 90 lbs (40.8 kg) for 3-inch (75mm) the model.

The thicker 3-inch (75mm) models provide additional mass and give best results with weightier turntables and components.

IsoAcoustics’ CEO Dave Morrison told StereoNET:

Turntables, for example, are extremely sensitive to vibrations. The stylus navigating the tiny variations in the vinyl’s grooves is a delicate process that is easily interrupted by vibrations. We found the most effective solution to diminish the effects of external vibrations was integrating our isolators into a butcher block to combine mass with our patented isolation technology and together, we discovered great synergy.

OREA Graphite

IsoAcoustics also announced the new OREA Graphite, the fourth and most compact member of its OREA series of home audio isolators.

Designed for use with smaller and lighter hi-fi components and turntables, the OREA Graphite provides superb levels of isolation through IsoAcoustics’ patented design.

When used in threes or fours, OREA Graphite isolators remove unwanted vibration from amplifiers, receivers, turntables, CD players, DACs and more. We have been suitably impressed by the OREA, and they really do improve the transparency and openness of the sound.

The OREA Graphite is the most compact and affordable isolator of the OREA range thus far. So, an ideal addition for smaller, lighter components.

Each OREA Graphite has a weight capacity of 4lbs/1.8kg, and three or four can be used to support each of your components. So, three together can handle 12lbs.
