Kaleidescape Strato V Wins 2025 Red Dot Award for Design

The Red Dot Awards, judged by an international jury of design experts, spotlight products that demonstrate outstanding innovation, functionality, aesthetics, and sustainability. This year’s win places Kaleidescape’s Strato V in distinguished company, with the product now set to feature in the Red Dot Design Yearbook, on the Red Dot website, and at the Red Dot Design Museum in Essen, Germany.

The Strato V is Kaleidescape’s next-generation 4K movie player, designed to deliver uncompromising performance in both form and function. It supports stunning 4K Dolby Vision playback with lossless multichannel and object-based audio, including Dolby Atmos and DTS:X. As a standalone unit, it stores around 10 reference-quality 4K films on a solid-state drive and can download a full high-bitrate movie in as little as 10 minutes via gigabit Ethernet. After 48 hours of playback, titles become eligible for automatic deletion, making room for more.

Scalability is also a key feature: Strato V can be grouped with Kaleidescape’s Terra Prime movie servers to expand storage and playback capabilities. Multiple Strato V units can be integrated into larger home cinema installations, offering flexible performance for systems of any size.

Users also gain access to Kaleidescape’s movie store, the only digital platform offering films with reference-quality video and lossless audio. The store includes thousands of 4K and HD titles across movies, TV series, and concert films.
