KEF Reference Hits Stores

Advance Audio, Australian distributors of KEF have announced that their Reference line of loudspeakers are now available in select retail outlets around Australia.
Officially launched earlier this year at a special event with George Perkins of KEF’s Research and Engineering team, the first shipment of KEF Reference has landed in Australia and now made its way to the east and west coasts.
Michael Di Meglio, National Sales Manager of Advance Audio Australia told StereoNET:
The KEF Reference 2014 edition is the culmination of more than fifty years of engineering excellence and acoustic innovation.
Advance Audio added thay they are particularly excited about specialist retailer Melbourne HiFi, as they were Australia’s first store to feature the legendary KEF Blade loudspeaker, and two years later, they welcome the latest edition of the KEF Reference family, including the Reference 1 bookshelf, Reference 3 floorstanding and Reference 5 floorstanding loudspeakers.
All three models are in-store now at Melbourne HiFi, 590 Burwood Road, Hawthorn.
Con Dikeos, Managing Director of Melbourne HiFi added:
We've enjoyed working closely with Advance Audio and in particular KEF as a premium brand we specialise in. The Reference line is truly remarkable and all our customers have been impressed by what they have heard. Together with the exceptional and truly impressive Blade loudspeakers, we welcome all to come in and audition them for yourself.
The KEF Reference loudspeakers are available for demonstration at Melbourne HiFi (VIC), Life Style Store (NSW), Trimira Audio and Integration (QLD), SAVI Systems (WA) and Gemtek (WA).
KEF is distributed in Australia by Advance Audio.

applause awards
Each time StereoNET reviews a product, it is considered for an Applause Award. Winning one marks it out as a design of great quality and distinction – a special product in its class, on the grounds of either performance, value for money, or usually both.
Applause Awards are personally issued by StereoNET’s global Editor-in-Chief, David Price – who has over three decades of experience reviewing hi-fi products at the highest level – after consulting with our senior editorial team. They are not automatically given with all reviews, nor can manufacturers purchase them.
The StereoNET editorial team includes some of the world’s most experienced and respected hi-fi journalists with a vast wealth of knowledge. Some have edited popular English language hi-fi magazines, and others have been senior contributors to famous audio journals stretching back to the late 1970s. And we also employ professional IT and home theatre specialists who work at the cutting edge of today’s technology.
We believe that no other online hi-fi and home cinema resource offers such expert knowledge, so when StereoNET gives an Applause Award, it is a trustworthy hallmark of quality. Receiving such an award is the prerequisite to becoming eligible for our annual Product of the Year awards, awarded only to the finest designs in their respective categories. Buyers of hi-fi, home cinema, and headphones can be sure that a StereoNET Applause Award winner is worthy of your most serious attention.
