Kii SEVEN Wireless Music System Launched at UK Hi-Fi Show Live

Featuring Active Wave Focusing, the Kii SEVEN combines high-end audio with cutting-edge smart technology.

Kii Audio unveiled its Kii SEVEN at a press event today at the UK Hi-Fi Show Live held at Ascot Racecourse.

Kii SEVEN

Building upon the success of the Kii THREE, the new Kii SEVEN Wireless Music System combines high-quality audio with intuitive smart functionality to offer a versatile and user-friendly experience, says the brand.

Kii SEVEN

Designed from the ground up to deliver exceptional sound quality, the Kii SEVEN has been developed as a cardioid speaker, thereby, says Kii Audio, significantly reducing the impact of room acoustics. Furthermore, thanks to its Active Wave Focusing, the new Kii SEVEN promises detailed separation and excellent musicality - "audiophile-grade audio that faithfully captures the essence of your favourite music".

The 31 x 20 x 31 cm (HxWxD) cabinets are home to a pair of 6.5-inch woofers, a 5-inch midrange and a 1-inch Custom Wave-guided Tweeter being pushed along by 600 Watts of onboard amplification.

Kii SEVEN

Kii Audio tells us that, instead of splitting the spectrum into bands, as is done with traditional crossover filters, the company's Active Wave Focusing filters force the specially positioned drive units in the Kii SEVEN to create a coherent wave front emitted towards the listener. This, states the manufacturer, ensures perfect time alignment over the entire frequency spectrum, which, in the Kii SEVEN's case, frequency response is listed as -3dB: 40Hz, 100Hz-10kHz: +/- 0.5dB, 10kHz - 20kHz: +/- 1dB.

The brand also adds that the Cardioid Sound Dispersion pattern down to the low-mid and bass frequencies provides even and highly detailed bass and significantly reduced acoustic interaction with the room.

The Kii SEVEN sports XLR and TRS, AES/EBU connections with support for KiiLink/KiiCONTROL, WiFi, Bluetooth, and DANTE.

Kii SEVEN

Thanks to the versatile Kii HOME App, whether you have one Kii SEVEN or a dozen, you can easily customise acoustic settings for up to twelve separate zones in your home while streaming playlists or controlling playback in multiple rooms. The speakers are compatible with Roon Ready and AirPlay 2 and support hi-res audio ≤ 24-bit / 192kHz.

Kii SEVEN

The Kii Audio Kii SEVEN will be available in early 2024 in Fine Touch White and Fine Touch Dark Grey finishes, priced at £3,495/ €3,795 (Solo Speaker), £6,990/ €7,590 (Stereo Pair).

Kii Audio is showcasing the Kii SEVEN at the UK Hi-Fi Show Live (Room 260/261) at Ascot Racecourse from September 29 to October 1.

applause awards

Each time StereoNET reviews a product, it is considered for an Applause Award. Winning one marks it out as a design of great quality and distinction – a special product in its class, on the grounds of either performance, value for money, or usually both.

Applause Awards are personally issued by StereoNET’s global Editor-in-Chief, David Price – who has over three decades of experience reviewing hi-fi products at the highest level – after consulting with our senior editorial team. They are not automatically given with all reviews, nor can manufacturers purchase them.

The StereoNET editorial team includes some of the world’s most experienced and respected hi-fi journalists with a vast wealth of knowledge. Some have edited popular English language hi-fi magazines, and others have been senior contributors to famous audio journals stretching back to the late 1970s. And we also employ professional IT and home theatre specialists who work at the cutting edge of today’s technology.

We believe that no other online hi-fi and home cinema resource offers such expert knowledge, so when StereoNET gives an Applause Award, it is a trustworthy hallmark of quality. Receiving such an award is the prerequisite to becoming eligible for our annual Product of the Year awards, awarded only to the finest designs in their respective categories. Buyers of hi-fi, home cinema, and headphones can be sure that a StereoNET Applause Award winner is worthy of your most serious attention.
